OUR ORGANIC FARM
Welcome to Waldoberry Farm! We are a saltwater farm located on Muscongus Bay in the mid-coast region of Maine. We started our berry farm in 2015 after retiring and moving here full time. Our focus is nutraceutical berries, that is, berries with nutritional and medicinal benefit potential. We are certified organic by the Maine Organic Farmers Association (MOFGA).
We grow elderflowers, aronia (black chokeberry), cornelian cherries and raspberries. In a study by the Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry, it was found that purple berries, such as elderberry, black currant, and aronia, are as much as 50% higher in antioxidants than more common berries such as blueberries and cranberries.
